A trained mechanical engineer and a long-term owner of both the MX-5 and rotary Mazdas, he has had a strong connection with Mazda products for well over a decade.
Married to Miho, and with two children (Louis and Sophie-Mercedes), Brian now lives just outside Tokyo, and spends much of his free time with Thoroughbred horses. He has had over 60 books published, including many works on Japanese marques.

I have several books on the 928 and this is the best one by far.
A little on the pricey side, but definitely worth every penny.
It is very "crunchy" in that it mostly details the different equipment options (which for me was fascinating since I was able to see what many of the options were on my personal 84 928S). Very technically oriented and delves into what models and options were in each market.
Of additional interest is that it gives context to the 928 by also showing the other Porsche models that were sold in each model year as well as the beginning of the book which details the history of earlier Porsche models.
Not filled with car tester reviews or fluff, but very chock full of all of the technical minutia for those fans that want to dig deeper into Porsche's flagship from 77-95.

No complaints! Great pictures. Lots of interesting data without burying the reader in numbers. Good balance of interesting vignettes mixed with year by year updates and numerical progress. Well done!

A good find for those interested in 928s

As a recent 928 owner, this is the third book I have bought to learn more about these marvelous cars. It is the best of the three, with tons of data included along with the very good narrative prose.
